LawLogix Enhances Guardian Electronic I-9 and E-Verify Software to Meet New Form I-9 Compliance Requirements
PHOENIX, Jan. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a mandate on January 22 that requires all employers to use a revised version of the Form I-9 for US-based employees. To ensure organizations meet the new requirements, LawLogix, by Hyland made several system enhancements to address the Form I-9 changes, which include additional data fields, expanded instructions and new rules for completing the form.
Beyond making the mandatory updates, LawLogix developed additional functionality to improve the I-9 processing and information-capturing experience within its Guardian Electronic I-9 and E-Verify solutions. Enhancements include:
- A revised ‘in-person’ I-9 workflow
- Real-time messaging improvements
- An updated library of sample images and insights relating to the Form I-9 list of acceptable documents
“The Form I-9 continues to live up to its reputation as America’s most complicated employee onboarding form.” said John Fay, vice president and general counsel at LawLogix. “There are a dizzying number of rules and requirements within the form for which employers can face unforgiving fines and penalties when requirements aren’t met or errors exist. Our priority is to remove the guess work from the I-9 process by providing organizations with the most compliant and adaptable solution that addresses all hiring situations.”
