As an Exclusive Partner with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), we were excited to be invited to attend this year’s 15th Annual Convening held in Austin, Texas, “The Live Music Capital of the World” and the state capitol.
The CLINIC 2012 Annual Convening, “Standing for Truth, Calling for Justice” brought many non-profit professionals, attorneys, directors and BIA representatives, all under one roof. Many CLE seminars were offered to update professionals on substantive immigration matters, including waivers of inadmissibility, prosecutorial discretion, managing criminal issues, consular processing, VAWA, CSPA, and much more. Also available were practice management courses relating to outreach, document management, client advocacy and volunteerism. One of the added perks for attendees was the ability to also receive LawLogix user certifications at the CLINIC Convening.
Part of our presence at the CLINIC Annual Convening enabled us to reach out to existing users and new users who were in the process of vetting immigration software vendors. The overwhelming response was the relief and gratitude that CLINIC had already vetted multiple vendors to arrive at an Exclusive Partnership with LawLogix on immigration case management software. Hearing stories (both tragic and triumphant) from Convening attendees about the work that is performed in many neighborhoods across the country was a fresh reminder of the impact each organization makes to their communities. It was also warm welcome to see many AILA attorneys come out and support this event and provide substantive updates on the law.
It was exciting to participate in this well organized event. From the beautifully assembled agenda to the course schedules, from the venue offerings to the event staff, the Annual Convening in Austin was the product of much dedication and professionalism. I happily look forward to the next Annual Convening.Tweet
